Exchange City is a Junior Achievement education program that teaches fifth graders about civic life by giving them a chance to run their own town for a day. The kids do everything themselves including running a television station, restaurant, bank, city services and more. This brochure was created to raise funding to build and operate Exchange City in Nashville. Potential donors, accustomed to getting constant requests for money, received what appeared to be a handmade booklet from a child explaining the program and asking for support.
A group of fifth-graders helped illustrate the brochure. About 500 copies were printed and hand assembled.
